Dear Prisoners of Hope,
Today it is my great pleasure to report to you of God’s great glory! I have the most awesome testimony to share with you today.
These are very difficult days for many throughout the U.S. and beyond. It seems the days are growing darker with the looming financial crisis getting worse. There is political instability with governments falling all around us as in Egypt with the fall of the Mubarak government today. Along with the increased threats of war between Israel and her neighbors. I hear stories of extreme woe every day but this one in particular got my attention as it resulted in showing forth the wonderful news of God’s great goodness.
On Monday my good friend was told their income would be postponed four weeks. There was even the possibility their income would be cut off completely. They had become a victim of the current financial crisis. Unfortunately, the termination of their income was going to have a very immediate impact on their lifestyle.
The source of my friends income is not important to this story but suffice it to say my friend has known the Lord for many years and trusted Him seeing His great glory demonstrated on many occasions throughout their life. They told me that upon receiving this discouraging news they cried out to the Lord and He gave them the same Scripture I started blogging about on Tuesday, Zechariah 9:12.
Zechariah 9:12 Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope; even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee. (KJV)
This Scripture says “…even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee”. Well, being the faithful saint my friend is they went into praising and trusting the Lord even though their bank account appeared to remain empty. They were trusting the Lord told them that He declared on Monday He had rendered double unto them on Monday.
On Tuesday, with their checking account still empty, they decided to call their regular income source to see if there had been some sort of mistake made in making this horrible decision to render them without income. Trusting in God’s promise that He declared on Monday [“…to day I declare that I will render double unto thee”].
The income source reiterated that Mondays bad news had not changed nor was there a mistake just the same bad news that my friends income was now delayed possibly even terminated. Upon hearing this discouraging news my friends went into deep intercession and sought the Lord for deliverance through worship and high praise. Coincidentally, they had started a partial fast on February 5th placing them in a position of battling in the spirit so entering into high praise was second nature for them at this point.
By Wednesday they said they were unable to figure out how they would make it too many more days without any money at all.
Then this morning this very fateful morning, Thursday, February 10th, when they woke up they went before the Lord and said “Lord we do not know how this could be done but we ask You for the impossible that money be put into our checking account today. Lord please we need a miracle.”
Later in the day they said they went one last time to check on their income source to see if there was any change in the status of their account. Again, the type of income is irrelevant but what is relevant is that when my friend checked on the account it indicated that all of the money that was owed to my friend and had been withheld was now in the process of being deposited into their checking account!!!
There is no natural explanation to explain why or how this income source went from delaying this deposit four weeks possibly terminating the income totally to depositing the entire amount within four days other than the Lord Himself intervened because my friend merely trusted and obeyed the Lord of Justice and Righteousness. The Lord Sabaoth, Elohim, Adonai, Jah, and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ and like so many times before in my friends life He delivered them again making A Way In The Wilderness and Providing Streams In the Desert of their life.
Dear Prisoners of Hope if you find yourselves in dire straits today like my friend did in this story do not be dismayed but rather rejoice like the Apostle Paul encourages us to in:
5:3 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
