While many celebrate this day as April Fool’s Day Christians around the world are looking to one of the greatest celebrations in Christendom, The Feast of Passover. It was during this great feast our Lord was crucified where He shed His precious blood for our sins.
It was during this time He descended into the very depths of hell to set the righteous free. He then on the third day rose from the dead to ascend into heaven to sit at the right hand of Yahweh, our heavenly Father, where He is today. He did all of this for the joy set before Him.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
He did this that we may rise to live with Him eternally if we have accepted Him into our hearts as our Lord and Savior!!! Oh Hallelujah! Praise Jah!!! Praise Yahweh, praise Yeshua Hamechia (I’m sure my spelling is off the wall on this but it means Messiah when translated from Hebrew into English)!!! It means Jesus Christ the Messiah!!!
I started writing this late last night and was so caught up in who He is I did not want to control the praise that welled up in my spirit.
This morning when considering we are at a date celebrated by the world as a fool’s holiday where people frivolously play jokes on each other. I realized as they play their jokes many of them are headed straight to Hell. I felt a sense of gratitude that we have a Savior who loves us so much He laid down His life on Calvary’s cross that we might live and not die a second death. That we may rise with Him and live forever in heaven with our Lord and Savior.
I am so grateful that He has become my Way In The Wilderness And Streams In The Desert of This life for me. I hope as you read my brief commentary today that you too have consider His greatness and mercy towards us who believe. I pray you too have come to the alter of repentance and surrendered your heart to Yeshua Ha Macia (Jesus Christ Messiah). I pray you have accepted Him into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior.
On this day of frivolatry where the world seeks to play jokes on each other I pray you will consider the seriousness of where you will spend eternity as we approach Passover. I hope if you do not know the Lord on this April Fool’s Day as your personal Lord and Savior that you will take a moment to consider what will happen to your soul when you pass from this life to the next.
Don’t be fooled God is not mocked there IS life after death and you WILL spend it either eternally with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or you will spend it in Hell with Satan and his minions. I assure you this is no April Fool’s joke!!! Nor was this how I intended to end this devotional but I look forward to Passover with such joy and would be thrilled if everyone who reads this blog could share in that joy.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
So while you are enjoying a day of frivolity take a moment to sow into the Kingdom of Heaven by considering your souls eternal destination and where you will spend eternity by inviting Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior.
